Personality: While he had been known for a softer side in school, Wayne is certainly not considered so quiet and soft-spoken anymore. He has grown to believe that the world is truly black and white with very few shades of grey, thus leading him to live a life of a man active in the pursuit of a better world. This change came about in his sixth year, the year that his father was killed by death eaters and the year his mother went mad with grief and hexes from the scum that attacked his father. Wayne had been known, previously, for a mild attitude and mostly joyful outlook on life. After he was suddenly colder, more outspoken against the purebloods that felt the need to discriminate against himself and others with mixed blood. Sure, he seemed happy at times but he wasn’t so sunny. He found a rougher side of his personality and used an almost violent front to keep his personal depression a secret. He can be a moronic boy when it comes to relationships, as Wayne simply doesn’t give women the time of day for flirting. This is because his interests of the romantic variety have always been locked on one girl in particular. It is for her alone that he allows walls he has built up to crumble. For her he seems different, kinder, like the old Wayne. In her he finds he can be the person he used to be, but he does struggle with maintaining his other ideals, violent and extreme as they are, at the same time. He is diagnosed by muggle doctors as a depressive and suffers from severe lows every so often. Appearance: At 5’10 Wayne stands a bit shorter than most men, though he is not quite as short as Professor Flitwick. He is simply small for his age and always has been, but he still manages to seem big enough as compared to most girls as a fear of being a runt compared to ladies did worry him as a third year. His hair is often kept a little long and flops with dark brown curls more than his Aunt can’t possibly stand. Sometimes he indulges in a shorter, spiked look but mostly he likes the unkempt style. His facial hair is usually stubble and seems more red than his hair. His eyes are perhaps the most striking feature of his countenance, being that they are a very clear and bright shade of blue. Most of his attire is casual, either jeans and a polo or something considered almost indie in the way he dresses. PB: James Mcavoy History: The Hopkins/Perch family is not only a mix of magicians and muggles, but also a smattering of international people. Close relatives, blood Aunts and Uncles of his father’s side mainly, have a history embedded deep in the magical society of England and Scotland, while his mother’s side showed magic only through an adopted Uncle from France and now the magical blood runs through his daughters and their children, French Italian witches. Not every Hopkins has been magical but being that so many have been in the family it has long been accepted that there is a double world around this family. They have been watched for year by the Ministry as their strange mix and understanding could one day prove to be dangerous for the safety of wizards and witches. While they aren’t exactly violating policies for secrecy among muggles, they sometimes come close. Wayne has close to twenty cousins and more second cousins than he can recall sometimes. His father, a wizard, had five sisters and three brothers, all brothers being muggle and two of his sisters being witches. On his mother’s side he has three uncles, one of which being adopted from France and being a Wizard himself. With such a large family, one might assume Wayne grew up as a social being but this was not the case. The boy was terrible about his shyness and hardly spoke to his cousins for a long time. He kept himself entertained through both muggle and magical means and found his love for puzzles growing in this first few years. In his sixth summer, Wayne’s mother’s cousin came to stay, along with her Italian husband and daughter Beatrice, a six year old with quite an ability to talk. Thanks to Beatrice’s inability to stay quiet Wayne became a more social creature and eventually the best friend Beatrice ever had. At Hogwarts he was quickly sorted into Hufflepuff, the same house of his Father and his father’s father. There he made friends with other muggleborns and there he became loyal to this house. When the Hufflepuffs banded against Potter for Justin’s sake, Wayne was with them. When they did it again for Cedric, Wayne was with them. When they were for Potter, he was with them, no matter what. However, in the summer of his sixth year… the young, rather happy boy, took a turn for the worse. His father, who worked in the Department of Mysteries, was found dead in their home and his mother had lost her mind to a terrible hex to the head. Wayne might’ve had loads of family for support but he lost his main lifeline in one fatal blow. His spirit darkened and in his Seventh year, an angrier side of Wayne emerged. He was placed in detention several times for starting fights with Slytherins, often snapped at Professors and even seemed bitter amongst his friends. Though, when the school was turned upside down thanks to Lord Voldemort, Wayne banded together with members of the D.A. and took refuge in the Room of Requirement. Most people don’t know why he did join them as he didn’t talk much to anyone and had become such a loner, but he had his reasons. After graduation, Wayne went into the Ministry to work as in the Obliviation Squads. He quickly perfected the art of memory swiping and rose in ranks in his department. He now lives in a flat near Tottenham Court with his German Shepherd Zeus. Political alliance, and reason for this choice: Wayne is very much against Purebloods that believe there should be some sort of magical caste system. He always has, but since his father’s death he has been particularly loud about a change in the way the society views muggleborn magicians. Often his views get him into trouble and cause rifts with co-workers and others he knows.    | |||||||||
